One has to login for every project

Description

When you login, you except it to be persistent. However you have to login for every separate project which is not very user-friendly. Probably this could be solved by using a domain-wide cookie or session?

Separate authentication domains for all projects are a design decision, and not a defect. It allows for multiple concurrent logins in the environment.

If this proves to be inconvenient, many browsers and subversion clients provide features for storing authentication credentials, which has the same effect as using persistent sessions without the downside of limiting users to a single account.
