no notification if startdate is invalid

Description

I created a new study in test.nmcdsp.org and filled in startDate as Code (only number).
The wizard unables the quicksave and 'next' correctly, because this is an invalid entry, but doesn't give a notification!
(So after a while I found out after checking the data myself. )

Hi Janneke, I am not sure I understand what you mean. Do you mean you entered text into the startDate text box, instead of selecting a date from the datepicker?

found this in the catalina.out:

org.codehaus.groovy.runtime.typehandling.GroovyCastException: Cannot cast object '10101' with class 'java.lang.String' to class 'java.util.Date'
}}}}

So I guess I assumed right...

Yes exactly, in this case I inserted 10101 (which I intended to fill in one field above, as Code)

resolved in r1745, disabled all keypresses in fields that have a datepicker attached. Can you retest on test.nmcdsp.org? You should be unable to type anything in the datefield and only use the datepicker to select a date...

Indeed, no other data can be included from scratch. However, with using copy --> paste i still can enter anything I want.
Don't know if this can and should be enabled..?

No it shouldn't, fixed that as well in r1748, can you retest on test.nmcdsp.org?
