Nice to have: interpret to some extend some excel 'functions'

Description

Eugene frequently uses the 'concatenate' functionality in Excel, which concatenates several columns into one. However, this is a function stored in the excel sheet.

After importing such a column in a text field you will see the actual function (e.g. CONCATENATE(N4,"_",AA4,"_",AL4,AM4,"_",X4) ). It would be a nice feature that some of these functions could be interpreted by the importer, if possible.

Other functions:

UPPER
LEFT
LOWER

Perhaps the java library is able to interpret these automatically?

The poi website on  http://poi.apache.org/spreadsheet/eval.html shows how to evaluate those functions. Probably you could use one of these methods

Added in revision [1801], tested with some basic functions like =NOW() and concatenation (=A1&A2) seems to work. POI supports quite some functions, but good idea if this is tested by Eugene. Still we should be careful to support complex formulas. Preferably just copy/paste formula calculated values in Excel before importing.
